Why do card making and stamping?
Okay – here’s the top five reasons. I could go on ……………………
1. Its relaxing and enjoyable.
2. Its a relatively inexpensive hobby.
3. You can create stunning masterpieces with very little effort and “artistic ability”.
4. Your family and friends will value the cards that come from your heart.
5. Its a good excuse to run away from all your troubles and cares for six hours on a Friday night each month. I hope to see you at the Mid-mountains community centre (behind Lawson shops) on the first Friday of the month. As well as creating me time for yourself you’ll also be in the midst of like minded people all having fun and being creative.

Why do scrapbooking?
Five good reasons – I’m limiting myself to only five because I could go on forever if I didn’t.
1. Its relaxing and enjoyable.
2. You get to unleash your creative side for very little cost compared to other hobbies.
3. You’re preserving important family memories for the future generations.
4. Its a fun way to share the highlights and everyday moments in your life with family and friends right now!

Why come along ………………
………………..to a scrapping and stamping night?
To spend some “ME” time with like minded people. To get your creative juices flowing. To learn from each other. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced crafter, as you walk around the room you’ll get lots of ideas for your own craft work.
There’ll be a buzz in the air – and lots of chat and gossip. And its all in a good cause – 10% of your entry cost goes towards the pink ribbon appeal and there will be a sale of pink cards and paper – 20% of sale price goes to the fund as well.
There’ll be a card making competition. For a small cost you can enter the competition (the cost just covers the materials) and then you use your skills and imagination to create a unique card. At 11pm the competition closes, and all cards go on display and everyone present will vote on the best card which will win $25 worth of scrapping and stamping materials.

Want to carve out some time for yourself………..
………………. and unleash some creativity?
I do – but sometimes doing that alone and at home isn’t the best way. That’s why I’m starting to host the “In the pink” nights at the Lawson Community Centre. Six hours (or a little less if you prefer) of fun and creativity for you and your friends – or a chance for you to come along and meet some new friends.
We’ll welcome beginners and experienced scrappers and stampers alike. So if you’ve always wanted to try these paper crafts bring along your photos, paper, card and any other paraphernalia and there’ll be like minded people to help you get started. If you’re an experienced papercrafter you’ll know that these nights are a perfect time to get fresh ideas and get positive feedback for your work.
So if you’re interested – don’t hesitate – book your place now and get those scissors ready!
WHEN: Friday 6th June 2008
WHERE: Lawson Community Centre – Large Hall
TIME: 6pm till midnight – lots of time to get lots of work done – and still some time for a chat with like minded people.
BOOKINGS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT – See next post!
Cheers
Leonie
